Why is this? I know some are low or high pressure regulators but isnt propane and natural gas around same pressure? Someone please state differences. thanks Asked by rodney - Sat Jul 4 08:44:36 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. The regulators are different because they have a different pressure range. Some propane regulators use a different material for the diaphragm as well. Propane is usually delivered at 11"-14" wc for domestic use, while natural gas is usually delivered at 7"wc. Orifices in a regulator wouldn't usually be different between the two fuels (unless it's a huge regulator) because regulators deliver a "range" of fuel volume. ie: 450,000-900,000 btu. Orifices in an appliance are certainly different though! They do change size when you change fuels. When you go to buy a new regulator it has nothing to do with the size of tank you are putting it on. You need to know the operating pressure of the appliance and the btu load of the appliance. Q. I have had this problem with my car and they fixed the problem for free. Where your window just drops down and will not go back up. They are now trying to charge my brother for this problem. I own a VW, and i've read somewhere that there was a recall for regulator clips but if i remember correctly they don't want to change them for free now. here is another website you would want to check about this issue.. these dudes say there is a 7 year waranty on the clips. " I phoned the toll free number for VWoC: 1-800-822-8987. Found out there was a 7 yr warranty to replace the broken clips free of charge."
